The Dorothy Carlton Center is a specialized program serving students with disabilities throughout the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District.

We provide individualized instruction in functional skills to promote continued growth and progress on critical skills for life.

Programs

The Carlton Center features a variety of different programs:

Business Media Production (BMP) - 2 Period Block Class
Commercial Food Service (CFS) - 2 Period Block Class

These two programs explore learning core vocational tasks that may be applicable in various employment and/or service opportunities.

Vocational and Independent Training for Adult Living (V.I.T.A.L.) - Full Day

This program focuses on work-based training in the community as well as skills required for home and community living.

Life Skill Classes (Full Day)

We provide LIFE skills programming for students who are placed by an Admission, Review, and Dismissal Committee (ARD). The referral process begins on a student's home campus.
